When Catman was a young Tom in eighth grade, he took a mandatory shop class. On the first day, the teacher passed out a sheet with instructions. The first was "Read through the entire set of instructions before you begin." Of course, most everyone in the class began following the instructions step by step, including one which said to say aloud your full name. The last instruction was "Now that you've read through all the instructions, you're done. Do not do any of the things listed after the first step."
