It would have been cool to see him use his Force powers, but I'm certainly not holding it against the movie for not showing it. I'm with the other guy, I think it's a bizarre complaint. It's only of the staples of the series, I can't single out this movie for continuing that. It's completely valid, especially since Ben THROWS AWAY his lightsaber right before flying to Exegol! Lol. If he can't fight for shit without a lightsaber, why would he do that? You hear that? It's the sound of the purpose of that scene flying right over your head.
Besides the fact that throwing away that lightsaber was symbolic of him not being Kylo Ren anymore, how would he know he was going to have to fight half a dozen people, LOL? You're holding characters and writers accountable for things based on some very strange rationale. At no point does Ren tell us, the audience, "I will face my former followers in combat. I'll need my lightsaber, but shall throw it away!" Now that would be fucking dumb, but that's not what happened. That's another invalid criticism. There's no merit to it.
No, saying, "Why does Kylo Ren need a weapon to beat 6 armed people, when Obi Wan - who didn't actually beat Jango - fought 1 guy without a weapon?!" is not "valid". It's the definition of apples to oranges.
