Ren was never going to be the new leader of The First Order, because they were hell-bent on making him a "good guy"; which is another Rian Johnson fuck up. What were they going to do, make Hux the main bad guy, LOL? I don't even hate TLJ, but Johnson was a disaster story wise. The arrogant asshole had no regard for the fact that he was making the 2nd movie in a trilogy. Ignored what came before and set up what came after for failure.

It was the same shit with everything being so easy for Rey. Her parents were nobodies, but she was the most talented light side Force user ever. Fuck that shit. That's what made people hate her so much. Making her a Palpatine was necessary.
