Because Mad Max is set in it's own unique universe and we have distinct futures where the X-Men characters come from, also aren't Cable and Bishop from different time periods? and Mad Max isn't even set that far into the future is it, 40-50 years, and the state of the Mad Max world is due to the near depletion of fossil fuels which creates panic and war, that doesn't vibe with the Marvel universe where moving past that is quite easy, and they have other issues such as the mutant race making the human race extinct.
As a one shot or limited comic run then maybe it could be fun, but also probably not, I mean who cares about a guy in a car when people can fly, shoot lasers out of their body, teleport, control all metal and stuff?
I could see a one shot idea like what if Mad Max become the next Ghost Rider as the host for the spirit of vengeance or whatever the entity is.
