Beattie was a vastly underrated player. Solid, consistent and a very good defender. Kinda like Paul Bowman before he was Paul Bowman.

Beattie and Walford were my favourite players until Mark Coyne and Gordon Tallis hit their straps. Walford was spectacular and Beattie was as honest as the day is long.
