Threats to the MCU: 1. Thanos 2. That loser, ArArArchStanton, stops going to see each film 3,800 times. 3. Loki turns heel 4. They lose the rights to Spider-Man that they swindled Sony out of somehow 5. RDJ gets sick of it 6. Guardians 3, 4, 5, and 6 flop Actually the biggest threat to the MCU is that their story arc gets too big for new fans to jump in and enjoy it. The MCU will have run for 11 years after IW prt.2 (lets just call it that until we know the real name) and will have a total of 22 movies which are all somehow connected and an influence on the next movies to come out. I think that most people go to theatres regularly for about the same period (their 20's). Before they dont have the money to go themselves and after that they usually have a family of their own which takes priority. So its gonna be hard for the MCU to keep their fanbase coming but also to draw new fans since at a certain point people cant relate to the movie because they are behind on their MCU over all story arc and they dont want to watch 20 movies to catch up just to see one. At least that is a thought/feeling I sometimes have and I also think its the reason Marvel Studios is saying Phase 4 is going to be very different.
