I agree that his character still acts like John Rambo, but the movie itself doesn't feel at all like a Rambo movie and why is he living on a ranch and wearing a cowboy hat?

The only thing that feels like Rambo is that he still has his issues and is going on a killing rampage.

I am sure this is talked about in the other movies, but when did he have a this normal looking life where there are pictures of him on the wall where he is young with his niece taking horse riding lessons and stuff?

I have never been a fan besides First Blood, but this version is awful imo.
