It’s an odd movie although enjoyable. It’s kind of distant from the other movies as its own thing, although I guess it’s suppose to follow the last one with him at the farm. Yeah, the movie is fun the first time, but I haven’t watched it since and already I’m starting to like it a bit less. I am glad you enjoyed it, but it is the opposite of enjoyable to me. At least with the other sequels there is a sense of adventure to them. To be honest, this was probably the most dreadful in the series; not necessarily in a bad way, but in a tonally depressing way. Could’ve benefited from being more self-aware, although I know it’s trying to be the FINAL film so it has to have some gravitas. I mostly enjoyed it for the third act and how gory it got in certain parts. |
