It has no gravitas either though.

The movie is on autopilot the entire time, is very similar to a bunch of other movies, doesn't feel like a Rambo movie, is depressing and grotesque in a more vile way than the other movies in the franchise and the filmmaking is generic. Nothing even happens until the final 25 minutes.

I dislike all the sequels, but this movie is much more aggressively bad then the other sequels.

Fair enough. I assumed they were trying to change things up for the series, even if they just cherrypicked elements from other films.

I like it at least more than III. I actually like all of the films, yes I said that. But I would agree that the original is far and away the best one.
