Rogue One is garbage. Cry more. TFA is garbage. Only people who are impressed with Saturday morning cartoons are impressed with TFA. It's a badly written Disney cartoon turned into a live action rehashed SW movie. TFA even subconsciously admitted to what it is several times in the dialogue of the movie: "The garbage'll do." and "That's not how the Force works!" Crying that Rogue One is garbage because it wasn't that live action cartoon that you loved named TFA (which was about as campy as Power Rangers) doesn't change the facts. No kidding, though. And well said. Rogue One isn't a perfect film (it's draggy, the characters are somewhat underdeveloped, it depicts the Rebels as amoral terrorists, Saw is lame, etc.) but it's far from the utterly execrable, saga-destroying, future-poisoning, Return of the Jedi-retconning -- to coin a phrase -- "slimy piece of worm-ridden filth" that was TFA. Good grief. |
