As much as I have been concerned for self isolation and imposed/forced isolation of people from before the time deaths really took off, I can't understand many people using bad arguments when talking about deaths in the USA. The moment USA's figures rose above Italy many people made that as a point but that should not be a point. USA is not faring worse than Italy/UK/Belgium the 3 countries with worst death rates. Total number of deaths should not be a measuring criteria because population of countries differ significantly. Death rate or deaths per million of population should be the measuring criteria when comparing nations. I've always tracked deaths/1M but the total deaths is the easier to digest number, so that's what people will fixate on.
