A likely scenario is Jimmy dumps Kim to protect her from the cartel; alternately she gets disbarred for one of her schemes with Jimmy and leaves him. yeah both possible. especially since if Kim dies, it cannot be due to the cartel, as that would likely not move Jimmy in the right direciton (being a friend of the cartel in BB). So my guess is she dies of something completely unconnected like a random car crash or ilness, or she lives on but they separate, would be kinda nice of Jimmy to do it to protect her yes, or she leaves him because of it and then we could hope that Gene will one day find her…to tell her she was right.
