Ever see Carlito's Way with Pacino Sean Penn.
I thought Scarface was a good flick - seems like a lot of fans are fanatical about it - I thought Carlito's Way was the better film (no slight to Scarface) - doesn't get talked about as much as Scarface.
Yes, I saw Carlito's Way when it came out. I don't think I ever rewatched it. I remember liking it a lot, although there was one detail that bugged me so much that I still remember it after all these years. Sean Penn is a lawyer for a big shot Mob guy who's been arrested. The Mob guy knows that Sean Penn has stolen from him. He then comes up with a plan to escape from prison. Who does he ask for help with his plan? Sean Penn. Who had stolen from him, whom he had threatened, and whom he did not trust. The guy was a Mob boss with tons of money and connections and he asks the lawyer who had already screwed him for help?
It's been a few years -
But didn't they ask Penn for help because he had the connections to pull it off - the boat and knowing somebody that knew the waterways to the prison?
I get your line of thinking - it's the mob - they should have other connections to pull it off....
I'll have to give it a watch again soon - own it - buried somewhere in storage.....
