It's the best of the Brosnan era but at this point in time, at least based on my last viewing of it in Dec 2014, it does not hold up (my previous viewing was Sep 2012. so in other words it took a solid hit between those two dates).
in fact, all of the Brosnan Bond movies took a hit for me in the Dec 2014/Jan 2015 viewings to where I no longer like any of them which is odd because at one point in the past (probably before Casino Royale (2006) or thereabouts) the Brosnan Bond movies collectively were my top Bond movies. but the 1997/1999 Bond movies took a rather large hit in Jan 2015 from about a 7/10 to a 2/10 as I could not even finish them due to boredom. at least GoldenEye/Die Another Day are still average for me, but no longer worth re-watching.
who knows... maybe ill give GoldenEye another chance at some point but probably not for the near future anyways.
p.s. Brosnan's #1 movie straight up... The Matador (2005) (8/10 ; within my Top 39 movies). that's the only movie of his that still holds strong for me to this day (Feb 2019 is my most recent re-watch of this) as The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) used to be a strong movie for me but that took a hit in June 2019 when it went from a 9/10 to a 6/10, but at least I still mildly like that one.
