There's been occasional talk about replacing Fenway. Talk is all it is. No stadium with history should ever be replaced. You could build a $100,000,000,000 park in Boston but you still couldn't look out and think, "Babe Ruth pitched here. And Walter Johnson". There was talk a while ago but I think it was just leverage to build the Monster seats. I remember hear about bumper stickers reading "If you build it, we WON"T come" I know most of this thread aren’t in anyway invested in Cricket, but part of what makes our game so great is the historical landmarks most of our stadia are. The first Test match between Australia and England was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1877. The two nations will play there again in a few years, on exactly the same patch of grass. Sydney and London (2 seperate grounds) share a similar history. Baseball needs a historical masthead - nowhere better than Fenway IMHO.....
