Prop or star? Either way, this is all that's left of Kong now. Hubby and I saw this 22" metal armature "skeleton" at a museum exhibit about 35 years ago; there were still tiny bits of foam rubber and fur clinging to spots here and there. It sold at auction in '09 for $2 million.
Close Encounters Of the Third Kind
The mother ship model was at that same exhibit. Near as I can recall, the diameter of the main body is about 4 feet or so.
