Here's a good one that only the truly insane Sox fan would know, but it's still pretty bizarre. In 1986, the Sox came ever so close to winning the World Series. They were a team loaded with good young pitching. Guys like Roger Clemens, Bruce Hurst, Oil Can Boyd, hell even Al Nipper made up a very impressive starting rotation. So, with all of this rotation strength, who started the first game of the 1987 season for the Sox? Anyone who gets this gets a major gold star...... Was it Tom Seaver or did he hang em up after ‘86? Not Mr Seaver. Here's a hint that should give it away.... After the way the 1986 season ended for the Sox, this is the last guy you would expect to start the 1987 season, but there he was.
