I took one sip of coffee back in the mid 90s by mistake i took the wrong cup and it tasted terrible. I have not had it since. I have a similar experience. I have a vague recollection of burning my tongue while trying to drink coffee as a child (probably younger than 10) and then for decades I wouldn't touch the stuff - not only in liquid form, but coffee-flavoured sweets as well. Then at some point in my 40s I decided to challenge my "childhood trauma", so to speak, and try coffee for the first time in my adult life. Now I drink it "socially" - after a group meal if everyone or nearly everyone has coffee, I do to. At home, even if I wanted to drink it I wouldn't be able to, as I don't even have the implements to make it.
