I will go, I would love to die in a movie theatre.
Joking aside, I've been to the movies on my own several times in recent years, if I can afford it, I prefer to go in the early afternoon when cinemas are relatively empty where I live. It happened a few times that I was the only one in that particular showing, especially when I go to my local small arthouse theatre. So, I doubt I would even notice the difference.
