I'm watching a show where the threat is, "well we'll certainly leave him in a pretty pickle, that's for sure." (cue dramatic music for effect).
Whomever came up with that very specific phrase must have been high or something when he wrote it, (or rewrote it?) It's just such a strange peculiar phrase.
What exactly IS a traditional "pretty pickle" supposed to look like? And does she get a sash?
