That is very interesting about Babe Ruth's record against the Yankees. Shouldn't be that surprised since he is a HOF just as a pitcher and the Sox won a few championships with him in the rotation. I never look into it. Just by watching the game, one memorable Yankees killer was Mike Caldwell of the Brewers. Yankees never seem to be able to beat him. Then there's Randy Johnson. He beat the Yankees as Mariner. He beat the Yankees as Diamondback. He killed the Yankees in the playoff as a Yankee. Ruth won 80 games in he four years he was a regular pitcher for the Red Sox. All by the age of 23. He was an effective player to age 38 (1933). He would have won a shitload of games if he stayed pitching. Average 20 wins a season isn't unreasonable. That's 300 wins. Than add the 82 (he won two games his rookie year). He would have probably won 400+ games. Makes him one of the 10 greatest pitchers of all time. And he had such an unathleic build but he was one of the greatest athletes ever and the greatest player to ever touch a baseball.
