I've loved the Omega Man since I was a kid in the early '80s. It used to come on all the time on the ABC Sunday Night movie or one of those network movie slots. I'd catch it as often as possible. I liked the "TV" look to it as you aptly describe. Especially some of the scenes that are clearly set pieces like the gunfight with his overturned Jeep towards the end. I've always thought that Lisa looked sad seeing the calendar because it was the month that the whole tragedy occurred and there was no one left to flip the calendar to the proper date. Neville looks sad when he's in the car dealership looking at a calendar too, but for a different reason, the woman drawn on it. I always thought it was great that he watches Woodstock regularly, just to see all the people in it. Ford must have cut a deal to have their cars on the movie, Neville has a full size Ford convertible at first, then "trades" it in for a Mustang convertible and when he pulls into his garage there is a Mercury Cougar visible as well.
The World, The Flesh, and the Devil has a beautiful bluray from WB Archives. I picked it up not too long ago. A great post apocalyptic film in my opinion although the first Act where Harry Bellafonte is wondering around and then setting up shop is much better than the finale.
