Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans 1927 has two different scores. One is a re-recording of the original score, the other is a newly recorded score on my DVD. There is also on option to watch it with no sound at all, something that felt very strange, but if one has a piano or synth or something one could make up ones own score as the movie progresses, just like in the olden days.
About The Phantom of the Opera 1925, there are apparently two sound versions, one from 1929 with the man with the lantern scene thrown in, the version that is out in public domain, but there is also a 1930 version, "A sound version of the film arrived in February 1930, grossing another $1 million. It has since vanished and is considered lost." according to old Imdb Trivia.
