In the interest of fairness, she didn't say it would suck. She said it wouldn't be as good as The Avengers. Age of Ultron wasn't as good as The Avengers, so I'm not sure what this proves in terms of the lame 'fan war' being waged on the internet. And it's her opinion. I'll tell you JL doesn't look half as good as either of the Avengers movies from the trailer alone, but again that would be my opinion. Hardly proof of one film's superiority over another, particularly when it hasn't even been released yet. All true, however, actors who are involved in these types of tentpoles usually go out of their way to project a positive and enthusiastic view of the project. Lane's somewhat muted "no" speaks volumes to me. Perhaps her response is an elaborate misdirection, the result of fatigue or just unprecedented candor (who knows, maybe super-mom dies in the end) - whatever it is - it's certainly not an encouraging response. I'd be a little concerned if this was a film I was looking forward to. SaveSave |
