Maybe it’s an Australian sports thing, but Im just an average punter and have met heaps of footballers and cricketers. Definitely not as many as Hosko, but quite a few.
What I’ve never understood about this though, is when morons pester and annoy celebrities, and then get shitty when the celeb is “rude” or “annoyed”. Seriously, if I had some plonker stare at me for half an hour or 100 of them ask me repetitive asinine questions, I’d lose my shit too.
Then again, Australians are a bit different. I remember watching the then PM Malcolm Turnbull walk casually down the platform at Bondi Junction to catch the train, briefcase in one hand, phone in the other. Not a single person batted an eyelid.
