Cherry pies

Must be wonderful to grow and pick your own cherries. All mine have come wrapped in plastic or, when I was a younger, loose in a paper bag from the fruit stall on the corner which shut up shop before the turn of the century. You do still see cherry stalls about the city and I prefer them to supermarkets for cherries. The taste seems more earthy.
