We've been waiting so long for 'The Irishman', it could turn out like Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Eli Wallach, Charles Durning & Billy Barty's get-together for 'Tough Guys' (1986).

In the 21st century, with the Tribeca Foundation being his main aim, I do feel De Niro has still pulled one out the bag on occasion. I especially enjoy his projects with filmmaker David O. Russell - 'Silver Linings Playbook' (2012), 'American Hustle' (2013) and 'Joy' (2015). I also found 'The Score' (2001) quite enjoyable and neglected fantasy gem 'Stardust' (2007) is a must.

they are using a deaging technique to make everyone look younger. but i think a lot of the film takes place with the main character (played by de niro) in his fifties. so it should be ok.
