In Latin Nero Caesar is translated to Nero, "nrw qsr" or 50 + 200 + 6 + 100 + 60 + 200 = 616.
The oldest surviving physical copy of the New Testament The Oxyrhynchus Papyri at Oxford University says 616 not 666.
