During the quarantine I have gotten kinda Health obsessed and now I am trying to lower my salt contents. Yes I knew too much salt is really bad for you but never measured it before. The FDA recommended daily dose is no more than 2300 mg. The ideal being 1500. And I would like to do no more than 1500. I do read labels and track it, but man, is that difficult. so much salt in everything. And then I tried low sodium bread and thats just so bland. But I am sticking with it. But unless I am really really strict with myself its so easy to go above 2300, closer to 3 K even on a healthy food diet (nothing fried, no chips, crisps, anything like that, minimum to no processed foods) Do you measure or know how much salt you eat daily? If not, try it for a day or two and see. Its eye opening, if you do it properly. whats your experience? Anybody successfully detoxed themselves of too much salt and got over the salt "addiction"? I know sugar is even worse, but that I kicked some time ago and it doesn't bother me to go without any added sugar for weeks at a time. But salt, salt I miss a lot. Cheese is probably what kills it for me. And putting garlic or lemon on things as recommended, doesnt really do the trick
