i was under the impression that the Sovereign would be our functioning Church analog.
i'm surprised you skipped right past Magus as a bullet point for the Goddess part. he could even work as the next big arc after Thanos.
Annihilation is probably out without having to change the story almost to the point of writing a new one;Fox has Annihilus rights. i guess they're sort of set up for a version of Conquest?
