Yes, "The City on the Edge of Forever" won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and is generally considered to be one of the best, if not the best episode. Anytime I try to come up with a 'best of' list, that is always in the running for #1. Written by the late great Harlan Ellison.
There were a ton of talented SF writers in the first two seasons.
I agree. I consider "The City on the Edge of Forever" the best. Although my favorite is "The Doomsday Machine", written by another award-winning SF writer, Norman Spinrad. |
