I do think it will be a while before we see a movie version of the turtles that's as good as this one was. Back in the early 00s, I remember that John Woo was rumored to direct an full length animated CGI movie, and there were some serious talks that it was supposed to feature more of the background history of Oruku Saki/Shredder and the whole beginning of the foot clan, and their rise to the top while in Japan. Which back then, sounded very cool. I would love to see such a film getting made, but of course not in the same way as the last two that has Michael Bay and his hyperactive (there has to be something happening, all the time, if not the audience will get bored and end up looking down at their cellphones instead) remakes. |
