League of shadows Batman Begins - "Every time a civilization reaches the pinnacle of its decadence, we return to restore the balance" Except the only commonality is the word balance, the League of Shadows step in once a population has devolved into a seemingly irreversible level of corruption, at which point they interfere and destroy said civilisation resetting things, Thanos does what he does because he see's existence at it's current path and growth to be unsustainable so he wants to eradicate half of all life in the universe at random to restore the balance of nature, the LoS are motivated by societies corruption and they make judgements over individual societies, Thanos is motivated by a theoretical ideology and doesn't judge any individual society by their actions, good bad or indifferent his actions remain the same regardless.
This is like saying Spider-Man rips off Superman because they both wear red and blue costumes regardless of the fundamental differences in their characters.
I mean Hydra feels more similar to the LoS, both are secret organisations responsible for mass murder and terror who try to guide civilisations fate from the shadows holding themselves as judge and jury over the masses with their solution to their perceived problems being to murder people on mass to achieve their goals, but then this isn't strictly a DC or Marvel issue as it's a common trope in entertainment, as are most of the similarities people point out between the various movies.
