My favorite Bond movies are "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "The Man with the Golden Gun". The most deliciously evil villain was the guy who fed his girlfriend to the shark in "Spy..." My favorite Bond girl is Honor Blackman. My favorite henchman is, far and away, Herve Villechaize as Knick Knack in "Man with the Golden Gun". "Jaws" is impressive. My favorite Bond song is the sweeping "Nobody Does it Better". "A View to a Kill" would be my second favorite. I have not seen the movie "A View to a Kill" and with my affection for Tanya Roberts and with how effective I would imagine Christopher Walken and, especially, Grace Jones would be as villains, I think I'd like the movie. It didn't get the best reviews.Roger Moore is my favorite Bond. He is suave and good humored. Sean Connery is not likable to me. I haven't seen any TD or PB outings. I have not enjoyed Daniel Craig as James Bond. Do it Mr. Dirty. It is my favorite of Moore's, though I rate his best as Spy.
It starts out a little prosaic, but gets better and better as it clips along and the cast is fantastic. Walken makes for a great and believable psychotic villain. Jones and Roberts are a very welcome presence and the film is a whole lot of mid era 80's fun. Even though long in the tooth, Moore was so skilled at playing 007 by then, he makes it work. He fitted Bond like a glove. Nobody did it better.
