I don't know which songs made #1 in the UK, but there are better Jam
The Jam had 4 Number Ones in the UK, 3 off which went straight into that position on the week of release. I certainly don't have any problem with Going Underground being the pick, it's a white hot diatribe. Of the Number Ones I'd personally have gone for Town Called Malice, another searing assault on Thatcher's Britain.
