I think Ditko's vision of Peter Parker is someone closer to Robert Walker Jr. or James MacArthur. He should have an edge. A streak of independence and not the Woody Allen wimpiness that Stan Lee emphasized (especially after Ditko left).
Maguire is too muted as Peter Parker.
