Yes, I never really got the following either (and I speak as a huge Sam Rockwell fan). I thought it mildly intriguing at best but nothing particularity outstanding. I know it may seem sacrilegious to its adherents but I actually preferred Oblivion which had virtually an identical plot. I suspect it's due a rewatch too.
