First 3 singles I purchased were Peaches/Go Buddy Go (Double "A" Side) - The Stranglers - John Miles - Slow Down & Pretty Vacant - The Sex Pistols. All got from Rumbelows at the top of the road where I grew up. I've never heard that John Miles song, but I don't mind, as I've allowed myself to be deeply prejudiced against him for the past 45 years. His atrocity Music was probably the first song I ever really detested! Honestly I couldn't tell you another John Miles song. I was starting to begin my love affair with Punk and had enough money for three 7" singles. The plan was obviously to buy 3 Punkers, but they only had the 2 I mentioned so I asked the guy behind the counter if he could recommend anything lively with guitars, and so Slow Down came my way. I liked it, haven't heard it for years but it's pacey with rocking arrangements.
