Yeah, that one was also on my mind when I saw the thread, but, I gotta say, I do not think Piranha II: The Spawning (1981) is terrible, but of course, it is quite a leap from that, and onto The Terminator a few years later on.
I am not sure how much effort or work James actually put into that film, as I remember he said something about only so much percent of his actually made the final cut, while some other guys took over, and changed very much of the story and scenery along the way.
