what bothers me is the edits. Out of a 1 hour program which used to have 51 minutes run time now has to be like 42 minutes. That is 9 minutes of the program that has to be edited out and 4-5 minutes for sitcoms to make time for more commercials. That is a lot. That's one of the reasons I bought the DVDs for my favorite classic series. The other main reason is that I can watch on my own schedule. I'm in the process of a solo DVD rewatch of "The Wild Wild West". I'm also doing a DVD rewatch of the original "Hawaii Five-O" with friends. I own all four seasons of the former and Season 1-9 of the latter. I didn't mind it so much when things were cut down to 46 minutes, but 41 or 42 is just unacceptable to me. I also prefer watching things at my own pace and schedule. |
