The readers' picks are a mixed bag, but Never Ever and Where Do You Go To My Lovely? were not far from my all-important, soaraway top 15. I agree with what the guy says about Lonnie Donegan, hearing him as a kid was quite a revelation even in the 70s, but I can imagine what it was like hearing him in the 50s. I myself have been known to credit him with the invention of punk rock on occasion. While my particular fave, Frankie And Johnny, sounds like proto-Beat Happening to my ears.
