England: What is their greatest performance since 1966?

They were the second best team in Euro 96 but played the best team in the Semi Final. And c'mon Carl, the Poland and Greece teams that won it were in no one wsy superior to some of the unsuccessful teams England have put out there. You'd think they would have at least dumb lucked their way into a final in there somewhere!
