Why was there such a backlash to the Snyder Cut movement?

If the producers want to recut a movie, I’ve no problem if they do. It’s their product. But the fans should not make demands they must see on screen. This is commercial cinema, not a boutique. If they want something specific, then they should make their own damn movie.
