Yes, my dog sleeps on the bed when he chooses to, and while he's crate trained, I only put him in there when I must leave the house for an extended period of time. I leave the crate open for him with a thick blanket and water and he goes in whenever he wants to because he likes it in there. He's welcome to sleep wherever he wants.
