This is actually a remake/semi-sequel to Dennis Potter's "Alice" a TV play on THE WEDNESDAY PLAY series in 1965. In that one, Charles Dodgson (George Baker) is the one remembering Alice Liddell. Several of the scenes- Alice being a brat to her sisters, posing for photography, that final picnic where Dodgson sings before a rather disinterested engaged Alice- would be used in later for DREAMCHILD. Also starring David Langton as the oblivious Reverend Liddell and Rosalie Crutchley as his suspicious letter-burning wife. It is available as an extra on the ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1966) DVD.
