This is sort of meant in a half-serious way, but the human race has always been social but tribal who likes having other people do there work for them and preferably without paying.
Romans had Roman slaves and they would rather enslave other tribes than their own people. It was a lot easier to build the pyramids when you had thousands of slaves to build it for you. Yes, I am talking about 2 different countries there.
