I never thought the film was boring. As a child, I though it moved quickly than dragged. True, Aurora doesn't have a personality, but I thought Philip was less wooden than the previous Prince Charmings (the 'No Carrots' scene). I believe the Three Good Fairies were one of my first intros to 'Girl Power.' Their rescue of Philip, Merriwhether taking care of the Raven, etc. And, of course, Malificent. I also enjoyed the visuals and the George Bruns instrumentals of Tchiakovsky's score. This is how I feel about Sleeping Beauty in a nutshell. It's a shame that the three good fairies don't get much attention from feminists. Phillip could not have defeated Maleficent without the help of the 3 good fairies.
