I miss them, too. Some of the stuff in Francona's book about the way the Sox were run is insane. The team said the book wasn't true, but never denied any specific incident or intimation described in the book, to my knowledge. For example, Francona was told market analysis showed the Red Sox needed more of a 'reality TV' aspect and that they needed "to win in a more exciting fashion," with "sex symbols." Just bizarre stuff.
