7/10. I used to like it more, but it tries to hard to re-do the first movie and feels contrived. Still fun but disappointing. I liked Die Hard 3 and 4 more (the one with Samuel L. Jackson and then "Live Free or Die Hard" about cybersecurity). I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to Die Hard 3. Fantastic sequel that really does its own thing with Samuel L. Jackson gleefully playing the role of the cynical sidekick. Ending felt a bit rushed though. Die Hard 4 didn't work for me, however. A very generic OTT Noughties action flick. |
