Cliffhanger (1993) - Stallone

holy shit! How did it take me so long to watch this movie? I remember my dad, buying this movie all the way back when we first got a DVD player and I think it was one of his favorites. I always thought I would get around to watching it but never did. Finally I have and I am glad. This movie ROCKS. Just from the opening scene alone when Stallone let Rooker's girlfriend die, an amazing intense scene, I was hooked. Awesome action, terrific villains, beautiful photography (these days it would be all blue screen) and a stirring score by Trevor Jones (whatever happened to him?). Also, the climax with the helicopter over the cliff clearly inspired the climax of Mission Impossible: Fallout. This might be one of my favorite action movies. 



Stallone also released Demolition Man that same year which is also an awesome movie with an awesome villain
